The story revolves around the unstable relationship between a father and a son: two Basque pelotaris, “Xalba” and “Ategi.” It begins in Miami’s Golden Age of Jai Alai during the 70s, before corruption lead to an ugly decline in the 80s, and a shameful and agonizing end in the 90s. Upon arriving to Miami, Xalba, once retired from the game, soon enters the seedy and vicious world of the ma fi a, shrewd businessmen, corrupt politicians and drug dealers.
